The Mt. Soledad National Veterans Memorial and various Memorials and Museums to honor Air Force Airman First Class William Pitsenbarger (Medal of Honor Recipient), the 30th Anniversary of Desert Storm, and our nation’s heroes through a live and virtual tribute event on 31 May 2021 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. (PDT) streamed right here on our home page.

This event will honor United States Air Force Airman First Class William H. Pitsenbarger whose story was portrayed in the recent major motion picture “The Last Full Measure” which showcased his story in the Vietnam War including actions which led to him being posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor, saving a number of American soldiers in Vietnam in 1966.  Attendees and speakers will include the Film Director, Producer, Airmen who served with Pitsenbarger, and the Army Soldiers that he saved.

“This is an unprecedented chance for us in person in San Diego, and those online, to hear the important story of Airman First Class Pitsenbarger and his sacrifice.  Such heroes and tales are important to highlight not just on Memorial Day, but each day for all of us, and especially those families and friends who lost such loved ones,” said Phil Kendro, Vice President of the Mt. Soledad National Veterans Memorial Association’s Board of Trustees and Executive Producer of the event.  “Every American has the ability to take a moment to reflect upon such persons, and they should.”

The live and online commemoration will be again hosted by National University’s Director of Public Safety Outreach, and former News Anchor Marc Bailey, with memorable Memorial Day video messages, musical performances, a wreath laying, and missing-man flyby.  

There has been a Block of rooms set aside for our Great event.  We will begin registration in late Jan 2021 and we will post all the information you will need to the PJA website, Facebook page and the AIG. All you need now is to mark your dates.... We have a great events scheduled, just waiting on the hotel to finalize a few events  associated with pricing. With 3 Units in AZ at Davis-Monthan the 68th FTU, 306th and the 48th RQS, This will make for a great competition and the gathering of hundreds of PJ's and CRO's.  

Let's show all those other Associations how we Role. Rodeo events will begin Monday the 25th if you want to come in early, rooms will be allowed the negotiated Per-diem rate of $96 + Taxes...
