Tribute to Cheif Master Sergeant Aaron David Farrior (ret)

Chief Farrior entered
into the USAF Pararescue career field in 1962 and retired in 1997.
He first entered military service in the US Army in
the early 1950s and was the 63rd graduate into the newly formed Green Berets Special Forces, (he wore the Green Beret unofficially, until it was later federally recognized in the early 1960s by then President, John F. Kennedy.
During Chief Farrior's long and illustrious military career he was the recipient of the: Silver Star, 4 Distinguished Flying Crosses, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the Meritorious Service Medal, 4 Air Force Commendation Medals, 12 Air Medals with one garnering a "V" device for valor, and one Army Commendation Medal.
Chief Farrior always served the military with distinction, often stating "that through it all he always maintained a rigid flexibility."
He looked with pride that he was instrumental in initiating the plan to establish the Pararescue OLJ preparatory training school at Lackland
Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. It was his forethought and vision that led Pararescue Leadership to recognize the immediate need to establish a physical training and selection team training facility.
He came, he saw, and he implemented...... leaving his mark that advanced Pararescue into the 21st century.
